Lost Woods Loop

"nice"

submission: Lost Woods Loop
date: August 20, 2006

Good stuff. This loops well. I think that this could use something else. I don't know what it is. Maybe something to give the melody a bit of an edge. Maybe some drums. I dunno. This could go somewhere awesome. Rock on!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I've been thinking about adding stuff and making a DNB version of the song. Thanks.

Heavy DNB Attempt (Incomplete)

"you know what would rock..."

Take this to a metal guitarist-shredder and collaborate. You have a real talent for rhythm. I think you're on to something with this.

Author's Response:

That's a good idea! Thanks!

Crunchy Drum Beat

"hot stuff"

submission: Crunchy Drum Beat
date: August 20, 2006

A little too distorted for my tastes, but the beat was awesome. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

It seems to be too distorted for most people. Thanks though.

Prelude no1 Lento ma non tanto

"I like this."

date: April 18, 2006

This is a great melody, by the way. I like your chord progression and everything about this song. This is just nit-picky, but i think the left hand could use a little more variation. I understand that making Finale play like a real person is somewhat of a challenge, but it sounded like this beautiful melody was almost interrupted by a thick bass arpeggio. But other than that miniscule detail, i really enjoyed this piece. You show some wonderful talent -- I'd really enjoy seeing more of that. It also, as chronamut said, wouldn't hurt anything to make this a tad bit longer. But i don't think that'll be too hard. If you made it this far, a few more steps are like pocket change. Good job! I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

--John

Author's Response:

Thank you very much.
Yes, I believe the left hand SHOULD use more variation, and it will. When I finish it.
Wow, your review is way too similar to WinterWind's review, arpeggio? lol. No idea :(

I'll try to do more music when I can. I'll really try.

Thanks (once again) for reviewing.

the sadest song

"nice job man!"

submission: the sadest song
date: February 7, 2006

I throuoghly enjoyed this song. I heard it in the flash animation posted today. Would it be possible to get music for this song? Thanks. But anyways, Everything was in place for this song. Would've been better if the recording wuality was a bit better, but in some respects, that added to the effect of the song. Either way, good job.

Megaman 2 - Skull Castle

"yeah, pretty much awesome"

date: June 25, 2005

This was a very good remix of that song. i liked the drum rhythms that went through the whole thing. i think they could have had more variation between the sections, but all in all, it added to the song. I can only think of two things i might add or change to this. the first is to drop the bass guitar an octave. the second is just a suggestion, but, a little cowbell never hurt anybody. Keep up the good work, and i'll keep my eye on your future submissions.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the poisitive feedback. I did think of dropping the bass at one time but I thought it would take away because at a certain point the bass carries the melody. I would love cowbell myself, but it is not included in the drum kit that I currently use, I guess I could change that though. Thanks again.

~Acoustic Peace~

"I'm speechless"

submission: ~Acoustic Peace~
date: May 26, 2005

Wow. Just wow. That was amazing. I really enjoyed this submission. I liked how everything just flowed together and how the different melodies layered over each other to come together so nicely. The only thing i would have done to make this even better would be to introduce a new melody or layer on top of everything else. I know six strings can only do so much, but if you were to ever orchestrate this or make it a guitar ensmble, Some awesome things could happen. Good job. I'll be looking forward to some upcoming submissions.

F-Zero - Bigger Blue

"very awesome"

date: May 16, 2005

I really liked this entry. I'll be looking for your name more often. I liked how you had plenty of variation in your themes. I also enjoyed the different synth voices. It worked well for the song. I only have two suggestions for this. One is that there could be a little more variation in the drum rhytm and the ending seems a little abrupt. But other than that, a very good entry.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked it, it's one of my 3 fav F-Zero songs. :D ty for the review.
